(see end of Page 1 for update)
ok I'm tired of looking for info about it. But, I did find one person confirming toyota did install it on the left air vent area of the driver side. Just to ask again, Is the OEM fog light switch/button location on the left air vent area of the driver side left air vent? My car alarm light is located in that indented circle where I think the button/switch is at... I think.... if exists. Is it a button? Was it offered on US celicas? Man I dont think I am making sense... sleepy time. ohhh dang it, if someone has I a pic that will just shut me up. well i have been trying to connect my 8pin button too....
UK type 8pin switch to a JDM car.... 1 - L = to rear fog indicator light on dash, color = R 2 - ill + = tap into any ill source on dash 3 - B = from fuse ECU-B (so +), color = G-R 4 - HR = from HEAD relay (A2 side of the relay/coil) so that fog only operates when lights are ON, color = R-Y 5 - LH = to light control switch/ daytime running light relay pin "H" (sits on top of integration relay), color = R-B 6 - FS = from front fog light relay (A2 side of the relay/coil) , so if you don't have front fogs or relay -> earth to chassis ground, color = G-B 7 - E = other side of the dash indicator light, goes to junction block Nr 3, pin 3A, color = W-B 8 - ill - = earth to chassis ground or ill - anywhere in dash i have ALL wiring diagrams.... i tested all with a multimeter to be sure i had the correct wires.... connected it all, being sure i had everything correct.... but it did NOT work it ended up buzzing continiusly the buzzer that my headlights were on, with ignition off... then i connected HR pin i think to switched 12V because from schematics it came from direct 12V trough the headlight relay (hense the constant buzzer), but DO NOT DO THAT!, my swich began t smell and smoke, i quickly cut the wire... sooo to make this short, i installed a simple button on the lower kickpanel, and used the ill pins on the fog switch as fog indicator.... expensive fog light switch lolz -------------------- |
