I'm fairly sure this game has been around awhile but I have only just discovered it and been addicted to it.

My original PS works, so I don't think age will be a factor.

The Blu-ray lasers are very unlikely to last 3 years. For real.  There is about to be a wave of failures of the launch machines in biblical numbers, similar to that of the Xboxes. The failures are accelerating now due to changes in firmware 3.00 which makes the Bluray work faster, putting more strain on it. There's a class-action lawsuit in it's early stages as we speak....
