Hi.

I can get one of these at a reasonable price. Does anyone already have this kit installed? Worth doing?

Cheers

I just bought and installed one, hes in NZ so our ones (Japanese TRD) aren't dicsountinued

Just some info from the TRD website
Nimble shifting for a rhythmical driving experience
■ The shortened shift stroke produced by changing the shift lever ratio provides a sensational feel with nimble, reliable shifting.
■ Classic design born from our racing car development experience.
■ Through use of a pedestal lever assembly for the FF and MR models and metal bushings to join to the body, the shift lever provides a direct, sensational feel.
■The main lever unit and select bar are fastened together using a serrated press fitting, ensuring sufficient reliability.
(We do not perform welding work which could raise issues with respect to durability.)

for some reason, it doesn't show up in the celica part list you have to go through parts, then driving parts/quickshifter
TRD parts
quickshifter
part number: 33530-ST000 looking around NZ$450 (you get the shifter set and TRD gear knob)
