alright here we go, the contour drives great, up to about 55. it does ok for a bit but once it gets to 65 for even a mile or less it just shuts down. if i touch the gas is dies. is this a bad(old and tired) fuel pump and/or filter? or the injectors? please help guys, thanks in advance.

This might or might not help. But the most useful part (that I could see) is that "That is when the mechanic did some research on recalls and such. Found that there is some sort of sensor or chip on or near the pump that keeps frying. Once this was replaced I have not had a problem with that issue. It has been over 3 years now."

But there is just a whole host of odd-ball complaints on this lol.
