Looking at a couple different tires for my stock GT rims. 205/55/15's.
I need something that is OK in the snow (I know an all season can't be GREAT in the snow), and I need it to be pretty darn good in the rain. That's pretty much my only requirements. These are the tires I've looked at / are available to me. But I will try to find any suggestions that you guys put out there. Toyo Proxes 4 Kumho Ecsta ASX I've gotta get these tires next weekend, so let me know what your experiences were. Thanks! |

I had the Kumho ASX's on my Maxima, and they were AWFUL. They got good traction, but they suffered a lot of other issues. They wore unevenly, were noisy, one developed a bad bulge and was VERY NOISY and gave a lot of tire-thumping. Put on a new set of Firestones that were on special and they've been fine.
The cheapest all-season I've seen that seems worth a darn are the Yokohama AVIDs. Don't know about the Nitto's in the same price range. I'd say for $10 a tire it's worth the upgrade to a better tire; the tires will last longer and give better performance. -------------------- 1999 Celica GT
