94-99, Boy or girl? Options

Is our 6gc or maybe celicas in general a boy or girl car, i think of it as a man car, but everyone seems to think it is a dinky girl car... wth

This is a fun thread.

I think we need to clarify the question though.

There is a big difference between a car that is marketed towards women, and a car that has a female gender assigned to it.

So the answer to the first question seems to suggest that 6gc was marketed more towards women than men.

The answer to the second question is that the gender of the car should be assigned based on the gender of the driver, and perhaps also their sexual orientation (lol)

So for me, I regard my GT4 as female: I am a male hetro driver and she is (one of) my girls lol. Also, when you think about it, you spend money on her, and if you neglect her she starts to mis-behave. Sounds like a girl to me.

Of course to re-enforce that, and has aready been mentioned, the 6gc has great curves. The Ford Cosworth, for example, could put forward a much stronger case for being a male car.
