D-man's GT vert is currently at a shop (who will remain nameless at this time) undergoing a 5-spd swap and the guys are saying that the transmission he got was from a 7A-FE and not a 5S. They're saying the rear tranny mount doesn't line up, the axles don't fit, and some other BS. I know for a fact that this is not true since a good chunk of the major parts came off my GT coupe. I had the axles replaced in late 2008 without a hitch along with my shifter cables by my personal mechanic. I'm guessing the shop he's got the car at doesn't know what they're doing unless the Coupe and the Vert chassis are different.
Could someone shed some light onto this? -------------------- -Alex {](O_o)[}

the MOUNTS are all the same, the BRACKETS between auto/manual AND 5s and 7a ARE different... sounds like they are using the wrong brackets... i have a pic in my for sale thread of the 5s
