hey guys and girls im thinking about picking up a celica but stuck between a couple things. Between the 5th gen and 6th gen which is lighter? i love the looks of both so im going off weight. Im also interested in doing a swap im probally gonna have 3-4 grand depending on the celica i buy for the swap. Probally going to see the doc to do it but dont know between 3sge beams and 3sgte or just turboing the stock motor. looking for somewhere around 300whp reliable and most likely end up spending more haha but all help is appreciated thanks!!

i've owned both. the 5th gen is definitely heavier and feels more solid than the 6th gen. the HVAC fan is louder in the 5th. shifting in the 6gc is 3x shorter but the 5th gen is better for downshifting. the 6gc has a much better interior design (and placement of the stereo and interior controls), but the 5th gen has better cup holders smile.gif. 5th gens have electronic seats that adjust the lumbar and rib compression which were removed in the 6gc (this feature is great and made cornering so much more comfortable and fun). 5th gens rust quicker. if you're getting a 5th gen get one with the 10 spkr audio, they're awesome.
