I think that the initial comments were basicly saying that 4wd is more forgiving of mistakes made my novice drivers. so when you're learning basic driving techniques, what may seem like a huge area you need to work on in a FF car, will be mostly covered up in a 4wd car, and therefore won't get the attention that it would have otherwise gotten.
The short answer about what makes you a better driver is ...... seat time. the more seat time you have, the better you will get. the more platforms you race on, the more comfortable you'll be on those platforms. -------------------- '99 Celica GT - Sold
