 sound proofing car?, wanna get rid of the rattle |

so i just got some nice alpine type s speakers and i really want them to sound as good as they can, so i decided i may soundproof my car or at least try to reduce my rattle, does anyone know if that great stuff foam will work for this? and please dont smack me for this, just an idea

I've planned on sound proofing my car since it's so freakin' noisy. It's like made of paper-thin metal, lol. It has no insulation whatsoever. You have the carpet and then bare metal.
 But I don't want to add additional weight. The 3S-GTE will make it heavier, and I'm trying to stay under 2,800 lb. with spare, all liquids and fuel topped off and sound system...and me on it. Just for mental peace purposes.
