Alright, I have no idea as to how to remove the trim for the passenger side air vent on the dash below the air bag. (you know, the difficult one to remove) I'd like to get it out to paint the trim, but it's a bitch and I don't wanna have to break it. Any suggestions or am I gonna have to break it?

I worked at it for about half an hour before I threw in the towel. That thing puts me into peril. I look at it, and all I see is an enigma. It will not come out. Anyone that says it does is lying and is going to laugh at you when you break it. You could take apart your ENTIRE car, dash and everything, and you cannot take that piece off without breaking it. Take apart your entire dash, unscrew the piece from the air duct, unclip it, etc.. and it still won't come off without breaking.
Truth--I pulled at it for a long time. After about 30 minutes I hear something break, it becomes a little more loose, and a metal clip falls to my carpet. I freak out, push the piece back into place, and put the metal clip away. I'm not going to pull at it anymore because I don't want to break the piece totally out and have it professionally re-installed for costs out the wazoo. -Brian |
