I have a 94 celica st 5 speed. Ive recently been researching gt-4 swaps. Id like to do a full gt-4 swap on my car. I have the 7afe(1.8l) motor with the 5speed tranny in it. I need advice and help with my plans. Id like to put the 3sgte(2.2) turbo motor along with the 5speed awd tranny in my car. Id like to know helpful tips, tricks, and anything that might help me along with the swap. I know the the electrical part of the swap will be a complete nightmare but im willing to do it. Anyone with any knowledge on how i should go about do this please let me know.

ok well first off... like the other guys said do research... i'll be nice and start ya out though.
1. 3sgte is a 2.0 not a 2.2 ![]() 2. there are different generation 3sgte engines. most us use the 2nd or 3rd. 3. go 3rd gen lol. i like the air to water and the ct20b is a nice feature. wiring is also easier because third gens were in 6gc. 2nd gens were in 5gc and mr2s. 4. you will need new engine mounts and trans. the "a" and "s" are not compatible. 5. have money in your pocket like any swap, or car project for that matter... talk is cheap. good luck. do your research and hope you get to swap. -------------------- |
