I was woundering if anyone could tell me what exhaust has a deep tone to it even when you floor it. I'm rying to decide on a brand to go with since I found someone who can get me any brand for around $180.

Always, Always....get a resonator if you want it to sound smooth with a custom catback. A guy at my work with a Corolla had an exhaust put on with 2 1/4" pipe, and it sounded horrible, like every Honda i hear at school. He didnt want it to sound so raspy so he got a cheapy resonator put on by the shop he went to, and its got to be the best sounding exhaust i've ever heard now. Its deep and smooth even when he floors it, and its not excessively loud whatsoever.
EDIT- And also...mufflers with huge diameter outlets dont tend to sound as good as a smaller diameter tip. Although Celicas do have a nice low engine pitch which makes even a bigger muffler sound acceptable. So its your choice. ![]() This post has been edited by Silver94CelicaOwner: Dec 24, 2003 - 10:32 PM -------------------- 3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting. |
