 Safest Top Speed, noob question |

Say I wanna find the top speed in my ST. It's an automatic, so I don't have as many options for some things.. but after I'm in the highest 'gear', how high should I let the RPM's get before I slow down? Should I let it get so close as to redline, or 6000? Or something lower?

Last time I checked on the web, I think it was a car reviews website, the ST weighed 6,4xx pounds...maybe some more for the automatic. I've never weighed it but from my understanding, my car is now heavier with the turbo stuff...not by much, but heavier. Also, I have 17" wheels...they're less than 18 pounds each but obviously we gotta count the tire weight...hmm..are the stock plain black wheels heavier or lighter thank the Enkeis? That's where I got the 2,500+...just a raw guesstimate. Hell, if I'm lighter than 2,500 that's awesome...more power to weight ratio than a Spec V or a Lancer Ralliart...both heavier than 2,600 pounds STOCK
