Would you trade your Celica for an MR2?, opportunity arose... Options

So I may have the opportunity to trade the Celica straight across for a 91 MR2 turbo. It has 132k on it, and a few mods. Interior is a little rough compared to my car, but it does have lower miles since the 99 will be hitting the 160k mark. My biggest hang up is the age of the car, plus the reduced gas mileage and increased maintenance cost; but I've always wanted one, and would love something RWD again.

I know there are some big MR2 fans here, would you trade your Celica for one? Even if it's 8 years older?

The car has 132,XXX miles, its fresh black paint done professionally in july of 2009. It has JDM solid side moldings, Euro front signal lenses, a TRD short throw,factory fogs, Berk exhaust, a Berk down pipe goes with it, a manual boost controller from 2's R us, JDM power fold setup go with it. It needs new ebrake cables, a shift boot, other than that its solid seats are rough but interior otherwise is clean. This car starts, and drives everyday, Ive owned it almost a year. I got it from old man in Kansas oddly enough. Its a T-top car. Since I got it I put a passenger rear wheel bearing in, rear brakes, a new alternator, and battery. The asking price is 4500. Lower offers mean I keep some parts. I will consider trades....Here she is...417-850-7700

If you are single, go for the MR2. The only bad thing is, you only have room for 2 women (one on the other's lap in the passenger seat). People in the back seat cause accidents, accidents in the back seat cause people.

Secondly, the MR2 is going to dramatically increase in value in just 9 short months. In 2011, it will be considered a classic which can be beneficial to you if you do decide to resell. In just a short period of time you can get a return on your investment and afford a very nice 6g or a 6g+swap with the profits.

Last but not least, it is a whole other world. I love my Celica and my MR2 equally but for completely different reasons. Its like trying to say you love your sister more than your brother.... they're your siblings and you love them both- but for different reasons. I say drive it first, make sure its something that suits you.
