I am attempting to remove the CV joints from the transaxle and they are not coming out. They are not the flanged CF joints, they are the splined inner ends and mymanual says they should just come out easily. Well they are not. I have pounded, yanked, tapped, tried everything, they are not coming out. Is there a snap ring or something that I'm missing? Help!

maybe merry and pippin can help you?
you need to give it a whack with a dead blow dead on to pop it off and there probably is a snapring. but everyone is right, you're probably better off getting the whole axle unless you've got low miles and just are replacing a leaking boot. -------------------- |
