Well I got my engine replaced about 6 months ago, and found that part of my front subframe is rotted through!
![]() So I want to know how to remove the front subframe? is it simple (I know a bit about cars) Im hoping I dont need to REMOVE the engine, but Can I just get an engine hoist and support it in place, while I take off the subframe? What exactly is it connected to? thanks for anyinfo anyone can give to me! thanks!- Need more specifics, someone dumb it down ![]() This post has been edited by mgnt232: May 7, 2010 - 3:23 PM -------------------- |

engine hoist would be "ok" but you should really use a brace such as this.
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Disp...temnumber=96524 you'll have to remove the front & rear engine mounts as well as dismount the power steering rack. you'll have to disconnect the ball joint @ the steering knuckle and then remove the control arms from the k-frame (subframe) |
