I have been looking into swapping my 1994 ST 1.8L w/ auto tranny for a jdm 3sgte. Is it possible to use with awd tranny in CA?
I am aware that the Japanese do not have EGR systems. Is it possible to use a intake manifold and egr system from a close relitive in california for smog purposes? Will the gt-4's gas tank mount in the same spot on the 6G st? I wish to achieve awd, is their a large problem that I am overlooking? Because not many people are doing this it seems.. Is it because lack of drivetrain/suspension parts in the US? Is their holes to accomidate the driveline bracket? Cat converter? exauhst, will it get in the way of the driveline? I am assuming the front ST halfshafts wont spline up with the jdm tranny? Will I be able to use the front hub assembly? How would I cope with the rear diff between the rear halfshafts? I have plenty of money, Im just not gunne go throw it away on something i can never drive. Welding two clips would be a possible way, however clips are usually cut in different spots. I beleive I would have the knowlage and skill to weld two clips.
you do have a point about the flip light thing haha P.S. 10K if you want your momy to have her mechanic do it for you!!!! Welding+Skill= some flawless **** beleive me. |
