ok i got the hood i won from ebay in today and mounted it on the ST. anywho i thought that the hood would close even if the safety hook wasnt long enough. but i guess i thought wrong? the hindge thing falls short about 1/2 - 1 cm >.> is this how it is for everyone too or can you close yours even without the GT4 hood latch?

What I did was with my stock GT latch when I got my GT-Four hood. If you unbolt the two outer bolts of the latch then loosen the middle bolt on the latch you can actually raise the latch a few Cm's up then tighten the middle bolt nice and tight, but remember the two outer bolts wont work anymore cause the latch is higher so the bolts wont go into the holes on the radiator support bar. I did this cause I had to force the hood hood very hard at first to get it too lock in place and it sat lower than the front bumper which looked ridiculous. I highly recommend extending the safety latch so you can fit your fingers under the hood to be able to open it. After doing this I can gently close my hood and lightly press down to lock it in place. Also given I have the GT-Four front bumper too, but this would work in your case too. hehe
