Hello, I was wondering if any one knows away to raise the rev limiter? I am looking possibly to raise it to 8,000 RPM. I have the 7AFE ecu. I am currently under way with a 7age project, I need i way to raise the rpms, other wise I have to complete my Honda ecu in a Toyota. I heard something about crystals or something, but I'm not sure what that is all about.

OK first I would like to know who actually has a stand alone ECU in ther personal cars. I also belive that is the rev cut for the limiter, but not be able to raise it with the Emange ( I could be mistaken on that, I dont have any first hand knowledge with it). The reason I dont want to ggo to a full standalone at this point, is because I will be working witha 7age swap, so all that will change majorally from stock is the headside ( cams, sensors, ect) with a N/A build, olny lookinh to get somewere from 180hp to 200hp and the crank. So why should I invest that much in the ECU at that point , if I am not going forced induction and looking to get outragous numbers, all I would need to ajust is the fuel because spark is fairly set mechinical, and TVIS would most likely be from a Rpm switch. Besides my other option would be to use a chipped Honda ECU, and then convet the sensors and ignition system from that point.
