got a question, i was looking into the adjustment of my idle the other day and before i worked it out it was the throttle stop screw that needed a turn i looked at a screw at the back of the engine, it sits on an actuator near the fuel pressure reg, ive had a butchers at the engine manuel and as far as i can se the screw sits on the acis actuator but now ive moved it and im not sure what it does? i lost count of the screw turns, whats the screw for as it dont look as though it does anything, does it control the warm upp idle as that seems to have droped a bit,
does anyone know where the standard setting is for the screw???? any advice cheers j |

right so the acis rechannels air flow at a percific point to alter power delivery like shortning or lengthaning the air intake buy speeding the air up and slowing it down and its controled buy the ecu depending on the throtle position and air charge etc, so whys it got a ajustment screw on it if its ecu controld?
if i take of the big top cover the acis cover (long rectangular one) above the intake manifold i should see the intakes and the acis valve. where should it sit with the motor off? thats if the screw is to adjust it as it dont seem to be liked to anything when i glanced at it. ![]() |
