 turbo question??, water cooled turbos....??? |

i came upon a garrett t3 turbo and plan on boosting between 5-8 psi on it. the turbine has an inlet and outlet for a water cooler. my question is would it be necessary to run the water cooler for my turbo to run properly? i know it would be greatly beneficial for my turbo but dont know if i have the funds and knowledge to do it. any feedback from anyone would be greatly appreciated. ( oh, my car is a 97 celica st) thanxxx

the main thing with the water cooling is that it makes for less damage to the oil, which means you wont have to change the oil as often. that first turbo got 4k miles from me and probably 100k miles from the previous owner. get a new compressor fan and a rebuild kit and it will be ready to go -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition
