ok ive been researching a lot and well i want to do the swap. but first problem. cant find any where professional in SFLA to do it. now i want to do the swap or else im gettin rid of it and jumping in to the honda game. dont want to . but i might. now if any body knows any places that will do jdm swaps in south florida or even central? please let me know. im looking to do it pretty soon. also one more question about the swap. the 3gste is awd . does that mean that i HAVE to make mine awd ? need this info quick please.

wow, these threads are growing like cancer.
guys please use the search button. the 3S-GTE is not AWD, one of the many possible transmissions that bolt to it is AWD. since you have an ST your stock transmission sill not bolt to it. you need either a modified MR2 transmission, or a modified All-Trac ST185 or 205 transmission. The stock GT 5S-FE trans will also work. thats more of a drop in and you can use the stock axles. again this information is posted in stickies. for the second poster, yes installing a 3S-GTE is so much easier in your car since the motor mounts will be the same and the transmission will bolt right up -------------------- 2001 Celica GT-S Turbo
