I just recently purchased a 1994 Celica GT, and my buddy has a COMPLETE 2JZ assembly in his garage. He is moving out of state and unfortunatley he has to sell it. I dont know if i should buy it. I was thinking about swaping it into my car IF ITS POSSIBLE. I have the money but not as much experience. Since im only 17, im still learning. So if you guys can help me, it would be great! Can you guys tell me if its possible and if there will be any trouble with this kind of swap.
Thanks. ![]() |

I have been looking into a 1.5jz swap and been seriously looking into it. Now this swap is not worth the time and money to be honest, but I figured why not be the first person with one on 6gc. So for cost I have the benefit of being a Toyota Tech. and will be going to UNOH I'm also in there T-Ten program. Things you need to price out are the motor, trans, ECU, rear end sub-frame from a gt4, rear end from a gt4, gas tank from a gt4, custom drive shaft, radiator. As for the custom work (I will be doing this myself, and yes I do have years of welding exp.) all new engine mounts, cross member, fire wall, trans mount, shifter, cut out the tire well/weld over, all new wiring harness. I could keep going on all day with how much custom work you would have to do. I already have rough measurements and if anyone is hard core thinking of doing this i will help as much as posible, but it would be easier to just do a 3s awd conv. if you want more bang for your buck
