Yeah, you have to have a side feed manifold. This setup was originally built on a Camry with a 5SFTE (SXV10 chassis), and from what I've seen (but not physically fitting it), it looks as if it would fit a Celica.
The difference I have with the feed really isn't too big of an issue. My turbo set up is opposite of a factory 3SGTE as the intake side is on the passenger side. If anything, you would change 2-3 pipes at most on a center-feed set up. The S-pipe, and the first outlet from the turbo to intercooler. I never did receive pictures from the original fabricator (who is on this forum and goes by luisitol) as to how it looked on the car. If it'll increase buyer confidence, I'll drop a the price to make up for the extra piping the buyer may have to pay for on a centerfeed setup.
