sorry mobile post...so im kind of limited to what i can do. anyhow......today accidently tore out my od switch while working on the shifter. so my question is two parts. one has anyone relocated the od switch somewhere else? say steering wheel. and second has anyone changed out the shifter "knob" for something that does not involve the side button....say something smaller and that you have to push down on......

that'd be cool to put the od switch on the steering wheel.. might look like a nos button..

nos is a name brand. you ment to say nitrous oxide engagement switch right?

So cutting the O/D wires is necessary when doing an auto to manual conversion?

no.

Im sure those wires run to the ECU harness somewhere, just didnt dig around. Cutting them is required to take off the shifter handle (as far as Ive experienced).

i got a question... where would the ECU harness be?? inside what is known as the center console?

ECU is located underneath the Climate Controls, mounted on the floor under the dash. the harness/wiring goes from their, up threw your passager side firewall to the engine itself.
