I've seen CF hatches but does anybody make trunk lid for coupe?
Like this one (this is Camry, though) ![]() I'd be interested to know. This post has been edited by conus00: May 7, 2010 - 1:49 AM -------------------- ![]() |

All I remember is that there was some talk about it waaay back when and that someone had a cf trunk because someone agreed to make them in bulk if we did a bulk order. I may be confusing it with hatchback models.
Either way it is possible to make one yourself. I assume player (but he has extensive experience in modifying everything from stripes on a zebra to inventing spoilers for bugatti) took a mold of my trunk (I think I sold it to him when I was back in college) and using resin and sheets of carbon fiber he created that. Another option is to make a fiberglass trunk and wrap it with some carbon fiber. I thought about putting a cf trunk and hood on my car but having had a cf trunk before and knowing what it will take to make a trunk... ehhh... I might get a hood again in a year or so. Or... easiest and cheapest thing is to use that 3D carbon fiber vinyl thing. This post has been edited by yarik83: May 10, 2010 - 3:54 PM -------------------- Captain Pessimist
