my friend bought a 94 5S-FE Celica GT-S 5speed with a blown motor
he's attempting to swap in a 3S-GTE could anyone tell me what he needs other than the motor will the 5S tranny bolt up to the 3S-GTE? what else does he need other than the computer? are the subframes the same? any needs for custom mounts if the 3S-GTE mounts are available? any input would be much appreciated

well i was told this.. IF you have a GT model, all the hoses on the stock 5sfe motor will transfer over straight to the 3rd gen 3sgte. you will need to do a little rewiring when transfering the 5s to the 3s. if you have the complete 3s you can just swap the hoses over from the 5s, bolt the tranny up and throw it in the car lol. easier said then done lol
im in the process of doing my homework on the swap bcuz i have bought a 3rd gen 3sgte myself and im tryin to gather as much info as i can b4 starting the swap. this is a very helpful forum with TONS of answers This post has been edited by Ted95: May 11, 2010 - 1:28 PM -------------------- st205 powered ss3 coupe
