would a generic short RAM intake cause a car to stall at stop signs or intersections due to the hot air being sucked in by the filter? I live in Northern California where we experience summer heat up into the triple digits and I would not want my celi stalling constantly because of the SRI. Also, would my MPG improve?

your engine wont stall at stop signs or anywhere due to the heat, but you will loose a few bhp (2-5) due to alot of hot air is going in instead of colder air. I live in Bangladesh which is beside India and the temps goes to 41 Digree with Humidity around 80% !! There for in these conditions cars do not STALL or anything, but the power goes down a bit !! But do check your radiator water level and try to park your car in shades
