 Coupe trunk modification, Can it be done |

The thing i hate most about the coupe is the trunk with the old school trunk struts. I really like the new cars now with the trunks that use mechanics rather than hydraulics to lift the trunk. here is an example, its an accord.
 has anyone tried modifying the trunk to use this kinda mechanism? |

i think the dampers look better.
