iv got nearly everyfin i can get from ipp.com for the 7afe. now i dont have much kwolage on turboin and engine rebuild, i have given the work to a garage 8 month ago and only today he started. cn anyone pls tell me, if engin is out and the head is going for skimming and flywheel balanced and lighted also crank work, cn or should i send anyfin else to the mechin shop??? how long all the job take for engine work and turboin??

Don't bother with balancing and any other procedures. You won't gain anything with the 7A-FE. The engine is reliable as it is. Just get the tuning right. Don't go past 15 PSI with a turbo bigger than a T3/TO4B. I had bad experiences with replacement pistons. They just don't hold the power as well as OEM ones. You're better off with original Toyota pistons. Don't skimp on the pistons. Rods are fine. I abused mine and they never gave up. Don't lighten that flywheel. Leave it as it is. Don't bother with all the things that are done to other engines. This engine doesn't benefit from that. Use good oil, good tuning, and good cooling. You do that and the engine will treat you right. Keep the turbo system as simple as possible. My car was faster with less fancy stuff. It felt faster with an A'PEXi S-AFC and small diameter intercooler piping. The more I upgraded, the slower it got. Oh, use an oil restrictor on the oil line. This engine will damage your turbo oil seals from the ridiculously high oil pressure.
