so i have ordered and all ready received the HP engine kit from importperformanceparts.net with forged pistons and the whole nine yards with stock compression ratio , my question to you is i am building the engine for boost and using the copper head gasket will that lower my compression ratio ?? its for a 95 st (7afe) . . . . .. when i am ready to build i will start a new topic and post how it turns out as i dont know anyone on here using this kit for the 7afe..... Thanks Lance

i dont know enough about the kit, but i have wiseco pistons in my 7th gen making 545HP so they are good pistons. if you are going to do it right, i highly suggest getting .020 oer pistons and having the block machined to match then. that way you know the cylinder matches the pistons.

I do NOT recommend a copper head gasket unless you get the deck and head ringed. it WILL leak! the OEM headgasket is a metal multi layed gasket. it will work just fine.
