Hi Guys,
i am just wondering what would be the best cold air intake pipe diameter for a 3rd gen 3sge with a throttle body of 65mm (2 and 5/8"). my current setup uses 3" diameter which i think is good at the higher rpm range but i feel that i'm losing some in the bottom to mid range. i wanted to use the same diameter as the throttle body but the only available pipe size in my location is 2.5" only. do you think that this would be very restrictive at higher rpms? my car is a daily driver and i use it on the track very seldom. but i run full throttle on the streets whenever possible. thanks. |

thanks. good to know that there are many pinoys here. btw, was that dyno proven or just based on feelings? ![]() air intakes in any case make you 1-3 horsepower, dunno exactly based on whatever your cars setup currently is but intake is not that noticeable in gain more of sound. -------------------- 94 Celica GT
