I ended up decided to go pick up this 2nd gen 3sgte engine and trans this saturday. I'm going to bring my compression tester along and just make sure how that is. I'll be posting pictures up as soon as i get them. I hope all goes well.

i would reverse it.
the air going thru the hot side of the piping is just that, hot. the radient heat from the exhuast manifold isnt really gonna heat it up much more. the cold pipe on the other hand you want to keep as far from the exhaust/dp as possible to avoid heating the intake charge post intercooler. ![]() edit: if you have an ST radiator, you'll need to rig up a deal for the lower hose. no real way around it.
