Hey guys/girls, I have a problem. I have a 5 speed and whenever I do normal driving, the car runs excellent. But whenever I start from a stop and take the rpm over 5k and try to shift into 2nd gear it does not go into gear. Earlier today I was unable to get into 2nd, 4th, and reverse. Any advice?

Check shifter cables first. Make sure the pin is on right and everything. Not pinched.
Stop hard-dogging it all around town. Then if either of those dont work, then you may have messed part of your shifter assy within the transmission. It's possible that you've ground the gears a bit doing that; and that ground bit is clogging up your movement. If that's the case you'll need a new one.
