the single sempron will use about the same power, but will be faster for most tasks as it is a higher core clock as the atom, even though it is a single core. i only use the inverter as it is what i had avail at the time of build and its nice to have ac for other purposes. i found an SSD that uses LESS THAN ONE WATT under load. so im going that route. notice i didn't mention how i'd power my 2nd rig wink.gif i was going dc-dc for efficiency.

anyhow, the three biggest concerns/problems for the Celica carPC is where to install the system, heat, and vibrations effect on the HDD (not an issue now since we're going SSD next)
