I have a 97 Celica GT 2.2 li and these cars are not gas saver at all. The gas drop like everything time you step on the gas pedal..what can be done? I am starting to hate driving it cause i can't afford gas no more it it takes $40.00+ to fill it up. I travel 30 miles to work everyday and I almost have to gas twice a week. Sometimes I wish i could have bought a Honda Civic. I mean seriously this car ain't that fast but it uses so many gas compare to Acuras and Hondas..Maybe thinking about selling my car now, but i will hate to see it go.

I find that fuel mileage in any car (especially my ST205) is directly related to the position of the driver's right foot.
I get somewhere between reasonable mileage and terrible mileage, depending on the weather. If it's nice out, the fuel seems to just disappear from my tank... Performing certain maintenance on your car will help it run better, and therefore get better mileage. Same goes for checking your tire pressure and condition regularly - those four little strips of rubber are the only thing connecting your car with the road. -------------------- 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four, sea spray pearl - Summer DD and cruiser.
