so i've been car shopping for maybe a year now, not too serious at first but as time went on, my searches had more of a purpose. so my question to you, the people of 6gc.net, with all the help you've given me so far is this: if the plan now is to get my fathers truck, but i still want a celica, should i still try and find a whole celica with little to no problems that is close and cheap, or start a project car and buy parts over-time to make a whole celica? or just find a whole new car in general? i appreciate any and all answers and also any leads for buying anything to help!
thanks everyone!!! |

For projects I prefer to start with a running car with high mileage, or with a lot of specific problems that cause the price to be low. My old Miata, for example, I bought for $1600. It only had 90k on it, but everything that was bad on it was something I planned on replacing anyways. All the struts were blown, exhaust was rusted out, couple bent wheels, bad stereo, etc.
I'd keep your eyes peeled for a very inexpensive Celica that is running and driveable. For example, this would be a good start: clicky -------------------- 1999 Celica GT
