my 7a is boiling the water in the coolant resavoilr. i checked the thermostat. it is fine it opens in boiling water. what could be the problem. oh and the head gasket is brand new. the top radiator hose is hot and the bottom one is cold.

replace the radiator cap. if it doesn't hold pressure it will make the car overheat
