If some cars which also have 5S-FE engine, does it means we can still use some parts from them??

Some of the '97-'01 Camrys have the 5S-FE engine, while some others have the V6, which is a 1MZ-FE I think. I know my dad's does have the 5S-fe, because I tried to convince him to go with a 3S-GTE swap the day he bought the car.
