My front right axle.. blew? There's all these greasy crap on my wheel and theres this continuous thudding sound when i drive. The thudding gets faster as my speed increases. Ive included pictures below. I've never done any "under-the-car" job so i'm seeking help. Is it a possible DIY for an average joe? or should i take it to a shop. And also does anyone know how much it would cost me for the parts. Part numbers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

![]() Becareful on the "behind" rod not to twist it in any directions. This will throw off the stering of the vehicle. D-Meister! i knew you'd show up lol.. i wanted to PM but i didnt know if the picture link would work so i posted here. Anyway i edited the picture to show the bolt that wont come off.. It looks seized. i dont even see a crease. Red circle:: the nut that wont move. It looks as if it was part of the metal that it touches. Green arrows. Are those removable? I never looked close enough to see it it was ![]() |

The red circled nut secures the lower ball joint to your hub, it should have a cotter pin holding it in place(install one if not) It might take an impact wrench or breaker bar to remove, then you would need a pickle fork to detach it from the hub. This is not the correct one to pull for an axle R&R. The green arrowed bolts can be removed from the bottom, actually when I did the passenger side axle on my Celi I only removed these bolts and the axle had enough room to slide out just fine. |
