Well this is the second greatest mod i have done to my car...
my first progress thread is here My progress Thread i wanted to do this swap last year but problems came and i had just not enough money to afford a 3sgte. but thanks to Jim i got a WRC 3sgte... by the way thanks a lot jim for everything! the engine arrived a month ago, but i havent had much time to work on it, and since i dont have an engine stand it is harder to work on it.. i might only update the thread once or twice a week, but slowly i will get there. To start, i will do the swap myself with help of some friends, i will not let a mechanic do the job since i dont think it is really hard to do a swap. It will be frustrating at some points but not impossible. Also i want to know what will be under the hood and learn from mistakes. I am not an expert, in fact i do not have much mechanical experience but i know i can do it. so forgive me because i might ask stupid things now and then but i am here to learn. and with the help of this community i know we can pull it off. So please guys help me with advices or questions i might have. the set up= WRC 3sgte with LSD E-153 ok here are 2 pics of the engine the day it arrived, i should of taken more but forgot to, ![]() ![]() ok its late and need to sleep, will update the thread tomorrow. Hey Joe, That's bitchin'!!! Good luck!!! thanks a looot! still a noob though lol great addition to the car man.. you must be very excited! looks and speed!! i am however i am kind of stressed that i dont have time to work on the engine and since i dont have another car is more frustrating but really excited you will most likely have to do more wiring then people with a clip(Manny's swap for ex.) as intercooler relay/fuse box will be missing. Maybe you lucked out tho and its there. its right next to intake. Looks like this: ![]() if not, Batman provided me with this when I was doing my swap and it helped out alot: ![]() ![]() good luck again dude! hope it all works out yeah mine didn't come with that fuse box, will ask jim if he has any spare one, as of right now i havent really looked at diagrams so i dont have a clear picture how to read them but once i get into that i will learn how to read those thanks a lot !!!!!!! you did your wiring? what other stuff needs to be re-wired? i know i will not extend my wiring, i will just cut a hole in the fire wall. -------------------- ![]() |

Check out manny's swap.. its awesome dude.. everything you need to know besides the fuse box you don't have. Just study those diagrams and you should be solid dude. -------------------- THIS IS WHERE WE HOLD THEM!
