what would my celi look like if I lowered it about 1.5" all around on stock alloy rims? is it too low? what can you guys (and gals) tell me from your experiences?

yea... not a good idea to use stock struts. they will blow out.

Actually... That is 100% guaranteed. They will blow. Your friend with the Civic probably just didn't care about how bad his struts were. Besides, why would you get new springs without new struts anyway? That's a bit like having a hot naked chick in your bed and you choose to sleep on the couch.
