Skyline..., coming to the us? Options

I am desperately searching thru my Dad's auto mags of this month to find the article he was describing. It supposively said that Nissan is going to counter Toyota's release of a supercar in 2005 with it's bringing of the Skyline to the US in 2007. Is this true?

Are you guys talking about U.S. or the world because I heard celicas are still going to be made in Japan....

And you know there is a G35X which is an AWD version of the G35 and it seems that every year the g35 is looking more like a skyline...from the 6 speed to the AWD....

When I checked up some japanese magazines a while ago, toyota was rumored to be making a supercar and the concept drawying was called gt5000 or gt4000 something like that but it had supra written all over it. Supposedly if it comes out in the U.S. its going to be produced under Lexus, but its just another rumor.

Also, do not forget the infamous Camry Solara which will be a performance car maybe close in competition with the Z's and probably closer to the RX-8. The solara doesn't have much hype it seems but it is a sporty car.

Also, have you guys forgotten that the 3SGTE engine is still around and it still has the AWD....if you look at the japanese toyota site....

Plus the 7th gen celica is winning so many races like the japanese GT300 and GT500 championships....Thats a performance monster to be awaken right there.(hint maybe a newer celica but with a new name...hehe)

What I think sucks about TOYOTA is that they used to make great FR cars that were high revving....AE86 baby....thats what they should start bringing back even though there AWD performance is great.....But interestingly enough....toyota has made a lot of wagoned/hatchbacked cars...like the WILL VS and Altis and those are pretty cool for hatchbacks.

You guys also forget there is a semi/sport car...more of a fun sports car MR Spyder..

Anyways for me....I have faith in the ALMIGHTY Toyota. If they get into a phase of performanceless cars, I am pretty sure they will jump right back into making supras that will beat nissan, mitsu, and even hondas....
