Hi,
I just receive my IK20 and I'm new to the celica world. Should I need to gap them or do they came pre-gap from the factory? Thanks! This post has been edited by Lama: Jul 29, 2010 - 4:21 PM |

uh I sell parts all day long and one thing I can tell you is that even though plugs are supposed to be pre-gapped, a-lot of them aren't. In fact I had someone come in and buy some NGK double platinums the other day and he was paranoid enough to check the gaps right there at the counter. Sure enough 5 out of the 6 plugs were wildly out of gap. I attribute this to either factory mistake, shipping collisions, or just being dropped. That is why you should at least check the gaps before you put them into your car. Whats 5 seconds per plug after-all? And If they are out of range then adjust them using a regular gapper unless the plugs are fine-tip iridium, in which case gapping them with a feeler type gapper will ruin the plug. For iridiums you want to use the hook type gapper. So to everyone, ALWAYS check gaps!
