I need to replace my starter.. i tried searching for a how to, or a link of someone else doing it, but couldnt find anything.
can someone tell me how long of a job it is? I got a spare one on another motor thats out of a car, so taking that off shouldn't be too hard, but what about putting it on to my current car.. any help or links or suggestions would be great! |

yeah disconnect the battery first!
Its not too hard of a job (i did mine like a month ago) although the bolts are in pretty hard places. You will need to jack the car up because its easiest to get the bolts from under the car. You then just need to remove the bolt on the cable running to the starter, and the little connector thingy (these can be a pain, but a little help from mr. screwdriver should do the trick) Then I believe there are just two larger bolts (they are in annoying spots), just loosen those up, and make sure you get a hold of it good, because its heavier than you might expect and comes down fast if you dont hold on lol. Then just the reverse process ![]() wish you luck ![]() -------------------- |
