 Amp Install, Help Please |

Can some one tell me how to hook up and amp to a sub. so far I ran wires from back of H.Unit to Amp, Wire from Battery to Amp, Ground to Amp, Sub to Amp. I hooked it all up and for some reason the amp doesn't turn on the fuse is good and I can't figure it out.

What I would recommend is to use the "usually" red wire which is the power_on wire for the deck. So that when u turn ur deck on, the amp goes on too.
To troubleshoot, check for power on ur amp. Usually there will be an indicator light which shows power, but sometimes no. So if you connect the power wire and theres a spark, bingo. Check to make sure that the amp is not only getting power and turning on, but also getting a signal from the deck. If you have per-amp out puts then make sure theres not a setting on your deck which can turn them on and off. -------------------- |
