Wow^^ Thats VERY unsafe,i never get under my car unless i have at least 2 jack stands under it, id rather not be stuck under my car and dieing slowly...
I personally have been witness to 3 scissor jacks failing,one was because it was at and angle and it bent and snapped the arm,the other 2 the jack physically just broke(we came out int he morning to fin the car sitting on the ground) edit: New Orleans mind telling us how much those set u back? i put jack stand under too
 but im always on a level surface on blacktop  hydrolic jacks ive seen fail alot more , as they normally loose pressure after a few days  .... but a lift is FTW any how lol
