HI all, im new here but have been surfing the forum for a long while now. anyways, I have a 1994 celica ST manual tran, 148,xxx miles on it. I have an issue when driving around 70-80 and above on the freeway. my steering wheel starts shaking around 70 and gets pretty bad aroun 80 and above is terrible. below 70 it is smooth and perfect.
I have had an alignment done, rotated tires, balanced wheels, and checked all suspension components and to the best of my knowledge all is good. Does anyone know what may cause this? It really bothers me and I would like my car to drive smooth at highway speeds. Thanks in advance for all your knowledge!!! |

Tires all have good amount of tread and good treadwear, I had the wheels balanced two different times actually ( by the same place) they did a ****ty job the first time and i noticed one was loose so had it redone. I will bring it somewhere else and try that although i don't believe it will help at all..
Thank you for your response though, if anyone else has any ideas please let me know. |
