 Break in |

What is the Normal Break in period for a fully rebuilt 3sgte. my guy at toyota says to take it easy for 5000 miles. Which sucks because I only drive the celi on the weekends.

I had the engine in my Bronco rebuilt and the guy told me to run it wide open. I've heard it both ways, but if it were me i wouldnt do any really hard revving for the first 500-1k . Just take it easy and then build up to the high rpm runs, bein a little harder on it as you go. once its had some time to break in, itll be ready for weekend crusin, or street racin some ricer, whichever floats ur boat.
